MY JOURNEY HERE ON EARTH
Part 1

As a child:
As a man:
I was born into a very religious home. We were of a certain denomination in the Christian Religion. (thanks for not asking which)
We were of the strictest order. We did not believe in going to movies, ballgames, or the like. My mother and sisters wore dresses for many years (no pants) ~ and did not even dare cut their hair ~ nor wear make-up.
We were taught that you had to be baptized in water, and speak in tongues to be saved. No exceptions! I learned never to question. (this would later get me into trouble, lol).
And, if a person did not adhere to "this belief" ~ they were going to hell. If fact, we were told that more people were going to hell ~ than going to heaven!!! Only a few would be saved ~ a faithful few!
It seemed as though emphasis was on getting out of here ~ rather than living an abundant life while here.
I remember questioning things like: hell ~ the torture and torment by an angry god??? Really?
I began to see that many just accept what is being taught; they never seem to question nor study for themselves.

But, I appreciate my past. Actually, I am thankful. This experience taught me much, and led me to where I am today. I am still evolving. I will continue to grow in my understanding.
"When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things." (excerpt from I Corinthians 13:11 kjv)
We grow in wisdom and understanding. Every day I learn something I did not know.
We are Spiritual Beings ~ Living in a Physical Body ~ Possessing a Soul ~ and Having an Earthly Experience! We are not Physical Beings trying to have a Spiritual Experience!
When we get this understanding > All will make sense!
For Me: It truly has been ~ An Awakening ~ A Resurrection ~ An Ascension into Higher Consciousness ~ An Awareness ~ that ALL of US are of Divine Intelligence ~ One Universal Sea of Love!
Ralph Waldo Emerson said it right: "the highest revelation is that God is in every man."
"God" Spirit is in ALL of US! We Are! I AM!
And thus, this revelation ~ this awakening ~ changed my life for the better! It also changed my perception of others ~ and caused me to love others ~ as I love myself.
